Number of Slovak participants in the Peppol network by month and day - public participants listed in the Peppol Directory since 2025 and non-public (hidden) participants since August 2026. Today, the network has 3,398 participants; 98 days until mandatory e-invoicing begins on 1 January 2027.

Public = new registrations in the Peppol Directory (public directory) on the given day. We have counted non-public (hidden) participants since 27 August 2026 based on the date we found them in the network. The registry is scanned continuously, so the date they are found may be a few days later than the date they actually connected.
Departures from the Peppol Directory (public directory)
28 Slovak entities have so far left the Peppol Directory. Of these, 4 are still on the network - they became non-public (typically after changing their digital postman without being republished). 24 have left the network entirely.
Departures of public participants have been tracked since 30 March 2026, and departures of hidden participants since 17 September 2026 (the date on which an entity stopped responding when the network was probed).

The public participant curve is based on the registration date in the Peppol Directory. We have been measuring non-public participants since August 2026, when the first complete snapshot of the register was taken; in the first few months, their monthly increase also includes newly discovered participants, not only newly connected ones.

Why does the non-public participant curve only start in August 2026?
Non-public participants do not have a registration date in the directory - we identify them by directly measuring the network, which we have been doing since August 2026. Another data point is added each month.
What is a digital postman?
"Digital postman" is the official Slovak term for a certified delivery service provider for e-invoices: an Access Point to the Peppol network accredited by the Slovak Financial Administration. Businesses use it to send and receive e-invoices - invoices are delivered through the network, not by email. The digital postman registers you in the network under the identifier 0245:DIČ. The list of certified digital postmen is maintained by the Slovak Financial Administration on the Financial Administration portal (VPDS).
