Peppol network passes 7,500,000 participant mark
Published September 17, 2026
The Peppol network has passed the 7,500,000 participant mark, reaching 7,537,982 participants as of 17 September 2026. The total represents distinct Peppol participant identifiers recorded across the network.
The milestone follows a sharp rise during the latest 30-day period. The network had 6,345,078 participants 30 days earlier, meaning the total increased by 1,192,904, or 18.8%. As the earlier figure was below the threshold, the comparison places the milestone within that period.
Increase concentrated in France
Most of the increase came from France. The country added 1,151,083 participants and accounted for 96% of the network's 30-day growth. The rise was therefore overwhelmingly concentrated in a single country rather than spread broadly across the Peppol network.
France's contribution was the dominant factor behind the network moving beyond the round milestone. While the participant total is global, the distribution of recent additions shows that the headline increase primarily reflects the expansion recorded in the French participant base.
Participants are distinct Peppol participant identifiers, not companies. The network total should therefore be interpreted as a count of identifiers rather than a count of legal entities or businesses.
As of 17 September 2026, the network stood above the 7,500,000 threshold, with the latest 30-day comparison showing both the scale and the geographic concentration of the increase.
