France passes 4,000,000 Peppol participants

France has passed the 4,000,000-participant mark on the Peppol network, reaching 4,000,084 participants as of 25 September 2026. The total places the country above a new round-number milestone for distinct Peppol participant identifiers.
Strong growth over 30 days
France recorded 2,918,023 participants 30 days earlier. Since then, the count has increased by 1,082,061, representing growth of 37.1% over the period.
The figures show that France moved from below the threshold to beyond it within the reported 30-day window. The latest total reflects the scale of the country’s presence on the network at the stated date, while the increase captures the expansion in participant identifiers during that period.
France is phasing in mandatory B2B e-invoicing from 2026, routed through accredited PDP platforms on the Peppol network. This regulatory programme provides the wider context for the country’s growing participant count.
Participants are distinct Peppol participant identifiers, not companies. The figures therefore measure identifiers registered on the network rather than a count of individual businesses or legal entities.
Crossing the threshold marks a notable point in France’s Peppol expansion. As of 25 September 2026, its participant total stood just above the milestone following the reported 30-day increase.
