Weekly report: Peppol passes 8,000,000 participants as France extends its lead

From 27 September 2026 to 3 October 2026, the Peppol network added +431,302 participants (5.6%). The total rose from 7,711,104 participants seven days ago to 8,142,406, taking the network past the 8,000,000-participant milestone.

Participants are distinct Peppol participant identifiers, not companies. Some countries register organisations under two identifier schemes.

Countries with the strongest growth

France recorded by far the largest increase, adding +420,078 participants (10.4%) to reach 4,447,349. France remained in first place and extended its lead. It also had the fastest relative growth among countries with a base of at least 10,000 participants.

Belgium posted the second-largest increase of the week, gaining +4,847 participants (0.2%). Its total reached 2,149,696, and it remained in second place.

The United Arab Emirates added +2,151 participants (36%), bringing its total to 8,129. It overtook Spain and climbed from twentieth to nineteenth place by participant count, the only ranking change among this week’s five leading growth markets.

The Netherlands gained +1,024 participants (0.9%) and remained in seventh place with 116,642. Slovakia added +831 participants (62.3%), taking its total to 2,165 while remaining in twenty-third place.
